Polaroid was composed for the anniversary concert marking the 30th anniversary of the Freiburg Percussion Ensemble. It consists of three parts, which can also be performed independently of each other:
Solitär for 3 (00:03:36), Polaroid for 4 (00:18:00) and Quader for 7 percussionists (00:04:48).

Part of the percussion instruments was a sound sculpture made of stainless steel by the german artist Klaus Gündchen.
