I. Plain
The name Plain traces back to Medieval Latin. From plaga (slope, field, surface) came the diminutive plagina (little slope), which, after losing its g and final a, turned into plain.

III. The sight of things
From extreme closeness or from far away, things shed their immediate meaning, revealing instead what lies within or what surrounds them.
In the stillness of inanimate nature, at the edges of the day, the feeling of loneliness shifts into a consoling form of non-existence.
What is the natural? For instance, are natural numbers truly natural?
